About the Conference
„Cellular therapies- an interdisciplinary approach” is the first conference dedicated only to stem cells medicinal products in Eastern Europe. The scientific programme includes gene therapies, cell therapies and tissue-engineered products intended to augment, repair or regenerate tissues, cells, genes and metabolic processes in the body. We strongly believe that modern medicine aims to treat the root causes of disease and disorders. At „Cellular therapies” we will be exploring the most interesting topics in the cellular therapies space alongside a faculty of leading speakers. All whilst showcasing the latest technologies and advancements in the stem cells area.
Head of Scientific Committee is Krzysztof Kałwak, Head of Clinic of Bone Marrow Transplantation, Oncology and Pediatric Hematology in Wrocław (so-called „Cape of Hope”). „Cape of Hope” is one of the biggest clinic of transplantation for children in Europe.
The conference is hosted by FamiCord Grup - the largest cord blood bank in Europe. FamiCord Group cord blood banks have been operating in Europe since 2002. They were grouped in a network in 2006 by Polish Stem Cell Bank. Since that time FamiCord Group has been developing internationally and has become the largest cord blood bank in Europe and the fourth largest cord blood bank in the world.
